Transforming mech kits ask something different of a builder than a vehicle does. A car has to look right sitting still. A transforming robot has to hold its geometry in two completely different configurations and get from one to the other without anything falling off. Every joint is a compromise between articulation and rigidity, and the 1,106 pieces here are largely spent solving that problem.
The design centres on the torso block, which carries the transformation linkages and takes most of the structural load in both modes. Limbs attach via ratcheted joints that hold a pose under the model's own weight rather than slowly sagging, the failure mode that ruins most articulated brick builds. Shoulders, elbows, hips and knees all rotate on friction fittings, and the head, hands and weapon mounts are modelled as separate detailed subassemblies.
Build time runs roughly six to nine hours. The sequence is well staged: you complete each limb as a self-contained unit, then the torso, then integrate. It's an intermediate build — no exotic techniques, but the joint assemblies demand precision, and a loose ratchet found late means going back in.

Build tip: run the full transformation sequence before you add any armour panelling. Clearance conflicts between limb and torso are invisible in robot mode and only show up mid-transformation far easier to correct while the joints are still accessible.
